Even at a young age Florian Wirtz has already written himself into the history books. In the 2023/24 season, Wirtz was the shining light on Bayer Leverkusen’s first ever Bundesliga title and second ever German Cup. Throughout the season, Wirtz scored 18 goals in all competitions, driving Leverkusen to new heights. Wirtz performances were so influential that Bayer Leverkusen went the whole league season unbeaten – an achievement never seen in German football history.
