Gennaro Gattuso is widely considered as one of the greatest central defensive midfielders of all time. Gattuso’s tenacious attitude and ball winning skills made him a crucial member of the AC Milan midfield that included Clarence Seedorf, Andrea Pirlo and Kaka. During his time in AC Milan, Gattuso won 10 major trophies including 2 Serie A titles and 2 Champions League trophies in 2003 and 2007 respectively. At international level, Gattuso was central to the successful Italian team that went on to win the World Cup in 2006. His performances at this world cup earned him a place in the 2006 World Cup All Star team.
