After spending a few years in the lower divisions of Italy, Gianfranco Zola made his breakthrough with Napoli when he joined in 1989. Playing in the same team as Diego Maradona, Zola played 18 league games in the 1989/90 season where he won his first and only league title – Serie A. After a successful period at Parma, Zola joined Chelsea where he achieved iconic status with 6 major trophies to his name including 2 FA Cups. After 80 goals in 312 games, Zola is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of Chelsea.
