Regarded as the Greatest Goalkeeper in the history of football, Gianluigi Buffon is an icon in Italian football. At International level Buffon has 176 caps for the Azzurri, with the 2006 World Cup win being the highlight of his illustrious career. At club level, Buffon played with Parma and Paris Saint Germain, but will no doubt be remembered for his time at Juventus where he won 22 major titles including 10 Serie A league titles. He is one of the few players who have played over 1,100 career matches and even came second in the Ballon Dor of 2006, which was an incredible feat for a goalkeeper. Buffon is a true icon of the game.
