No doubt regarded as one of the greatest midfielders in the history of the Premier League title, Steven Gerrard has achieved icon status at Liverpool. Gerrard played the majority of his career on Merseyside, playing over 700 times for the club and at times single handedly dragging the club to trophies. It was 2005 where Gerrard will be most remembered with Liverpool fans where he was central to the team overturning a 3-0 half time deficit against AC Milan in the Uefa Champions League final to go on and win Liverpool’s 5th European Championship. At international level, Gerrard is one of the few players to win over 100 caps for England.
