At club level it was his time at FC Barcelona and AC Milan where he was at his height. Across his time at both clubs he won seven major honours including two La Liga titles and a UEFA Champions League. It was the 1999 season where Rivaldo cemented his legacy as one of the greats winning the coveted Ballon D’or. At international level Rivaldo was equally successful being central to Brazil’s World Cup victory in 2002.
